iRun Motorcade
October 28, 2007
It was a success! Kingdom folks -- youth, adults and kids -- from the 5 participating churches of the iRun Towards the Goal gathered at the side of city plaza to pray, encourage, have fellowship, and proclaim God's love to every people in the city.
And just like the first line of the theme song "This is where we start... the beginning of our dreams", the parade started from the plaza (beside the Museo de Santa Rosa) then to Tagapo where all players stopped for a short film showing right in front of the Arch. Where it was said:
"iRun is a game of strength, speed, endurance and most of all, compassion for the lost. In this race, only one team gets the prize, so run with perseverance. Runners, let's start this race! The race of our lives!"
Everyone, a total of 25 vehicles, continued to route after the short scene. And oh, before we forgot, lots of people witnessed this event. It was really fun! Some might be wondering, "what is this?" or "what are these crazy people doing on sunday noon praising, shouting, singing and parading?". Well, all we can say is, they're missing a lot of their lives! But, of course, we're here to tell the world of Jesus. The One who set us free!
Anyway, back to in road. From Tagapo, we made our way to Robinson's Mall and SM City, then to Balibago back to the city plaza.
After the parade, there were short announcements and closing prayer.
Thank God that it did not rain, people came out of their houses when they hear the loud music -- "All Things Are Possible", "One Way", "Free" and of course the iRun Theme Song. Thank God also for His provision. We had a lot of loaves of bread! He made everything possible for us to proclaim His name, to give tracts.
